Our Story
We are proud to say 2022 is going to be the 10th edition of our festival. Starting from a small almost only Hungarian bachata event, we grew year by year reaching a very international Bachata, Urban Kiz, Kizomba, Salsa and Zouk mixed festival by now. If you are looking for quality workshops, parties with good atmosphere, crazy teachers all in a beautiful city in an amazing venue – you should not miss this year 
the beginning
History in the making
The festival started in 2013 based on the renown international bachata competition, BachataStars International. Year by year we added more dance styles, involved more international artists and organising competitions to give platform to the new upcoming talents. Besides the awesome bachata room at the festival, Urban Kiz/Kizomba has grown massively in the last few years, and our salsa and zouk rooms are also very enjoyable, bringing together a great dance mix of international and Hungarian dancers. After 3 years in our amazing venue Danube Palace, which became a beloved location of our festival visitors, we outgrew the venue and moved to Aquincum Hotel in 2021. Covid stopped us for 1 year, but in 2021 we were back with a smaller than usual edition, which we had to organise just in 2 months due to the constantly changing covid rules and uncertainty. In the end we felt so glad we could give back the joy of dancing and meeting again in Budapest, even in a smaller version. 2022 was an amazing comeback, first edition full on after covid. Amazing energies in all rooms with lots of happy faces, that we can not be more happy about!
2023 will be a milestone, as we are celebrating our 10th anniversary!! Unbelievable, but created this small event in 2013, which developed to big internationally renowned dance event of all Latin dance styles, so we will celebrate in style!

All this progression of the festival wouldn’t have been possible without all the amazing international and Hungarian teachers, Djs, promoters, all the hard-working and enthusiastic volunteers, our always reliable sound and light technicians (CsediSound) and of course YOU, dancers who create this great event!
