OUR RECOMMENDATION:
Google maps works really well in Budapest when planning your journey real time, so feel free to use it safely when you are trying to get to the hotel or around in Budapest.
BY TAXI:
Reservations can be made in person at the Főtaxi booths located at the exits of Terminals 2A and 2B. At the taxi ranks in front of the stands, taxis are continuously waiting for passengers. Taxi from the airport to Aquincum Hotel costs about 12.000-16.000 HUF (30-40 euro), depending on traffic conditions.
In Hungary all official taxi companies charge the same rates, which are regulated, so don’t worry. You can use Bolt or Uber app as well to get a taxi, but rates are the same as with any other taxi company.
AIRPORT SHUTTLE MINIBUS
If there is group of you arriving at the same time, it’s worth checking out the official minibus service that you can book in advance. Cost for 6 people is around 65 euro.
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
Bus line 100E Airport Express provides a direct, convenient, economical and fast connection between Liszt Ferenc International Airport and Deák Ferenc Square, a key transport hub on the Pest side of the city.

Buses run around the clock, every 6-10 minutes during the day, every 10-15 minutes in the morning and evening and every 30-40 minutes on average at night.
From Deak Ferenc Square you can take bus nr 9 that will take you to the Buda side, and you can get to the hotel after a short walk after getting off the bus. Bus tickets are 500HUF (1.25 euro). You can buy tickets at the vending machines at Deak Square, on the bus or on BudapestGO app.
